Courtney and Brennan's incredible day

What do you do when it is cold outside and the sun refuses to shine? You get married. Courtney and Brennan did on January 30th and I have to say that the amazing wedding location and two beautiful families combined to make this wedding stand out. Courtney and Brennan are so sweet together. They just naturally smile. Courtney's sisters were a big help all day. I love the family candids. Smiles were everywhere. A very special thanks to Elizabeth Avett of the Handsel Company for the beautiful flowers. The colors were unbelievable and I know that we will be using her florals as background images for Courtney and Brennan's wedding album. Her e-mail address is avett@optilink.us and phone #(706) 278-2758. The ceremony was held at First Presbyterian, Dalton Georgia and the reception was at Dalton Golf and Country Club.

Enjoy!

Becky and Lewie's (Deck of Card's)

Starting the day out, we actually thought that we might see a little snow. I have always wanted to take wedding day photos in the snow so I probably was the only one excited about the weather. It didn't snow and Becky and Lewie's wedding couldn't have been any better. I can tell that they share a lot in common. I love Becky's Laugh. The theme was "All you need is Love" by the Beatles.

Becky mentioned that they were honeymooning on their boat. I thought that would make a great parting shot, bride and groom blissfully enjoying their boat while saying goodbye. Little did I know that the boat was a yacht. It was a floating home. I only wished that it was a beautiful, sunny day and we could have taken the boat out. (Maybe later - um, Becky and Lewie???)

Patten Chapel was an excellent place for the ceremony and Chattanooga Golf and Country Club did an excellent job on the reception as usual. Special thanks to Soirees of Chattanooga for providing the coordination. Beasley Photography, www.beasleyphoto.com.

A Snowy day for Shoshana and Alan's Engagement session - Wedding in Callaway Gardens

Today was a day of several firsts for me. #1 - It was the coldest engagement session that I have ever photographed. #2 - It was the very first time I have photographed a couple in the snow and #3 Well...just watch the video below (we added a little twist). Wow, I had so much fun. Shoshana and Alan smiled the whole even though it was so cold. I can't wait to photograph their May 22, 2010 wedding in Callaway Gardens. I have a feeling that it is going to be warm in May, a very welcome change.

Chris and Susan's Engagement

Chris and Susan chose Signal Point, Signal Mountain Tennessee as their location for their engagement photos. I love the awesome vantage point that Signal Point provides. It's probably the most picturesque view of the Chattanooga Valley. Then you place two good looking people in front of it and it just gets even better. Susan and Chris are so cute around each other. I asked Susan to ride on Chris' back. They immediately started laughing. I think that they have done this before. We finished at Signal Mountain Golf and Country Club. I was totally amazed at the deep colors that we had that night. I hope you two enjoy the slide show!

Logan and Logan's Engagement

Recently, we had the pleasure of working with Logan Clark (her) and Logan Simmons (him). This is a first for us, a bride and groom sharing the same first name. They were so much fun. I love their story of how they met at Baylor. We started out shooting at Coolidge Park, then moved to Baylor School. I loved the chance to work with Logan and Logan at the river at Baylor. They could tell that I was getting excited about it. The light and sunset was amazing. We finished at Signal Point, Lookout Mountain. I am going to have a hard time waiting for their wedding day. If it is half as fun as their engagement photos, it's going to be a blast.

Heavenly Sunset - Kristen and Joe's Tennessee River engagement

One of the most beautiful things about Chattanooga is the Riverwalk and Riverpark area along the Tennessee River. Kristen and Joe wanted to use this area as the backdrop for their engagement session. We were all treated to an incredible sunset that night. This sunset was Hollywood style and the colors were unbelievable. No - I didn't photoshop them, they are real. Enjoy!
