The Beasley Family plus Grayson

I'll admit it, we are like most families. Life is very busy, so busy that we don't get to photograph our own family as much as we would like to. Angela is the hero here. She put our family portrait on our schedule (we have to schedule it like we would anyone elses portrait). She went out and bought the clothing and with two teenage daughter's, that's a lot harder than it sounds. She picked the location. We went to a great spot that we liked at Berry College in Rome, Georgia. Angela also lined up Mallory Hope to take the photo for us. Mallory is like one of our own daughters. She has a natural ability to get my girls to smile (and that also can be a lot harder than it sounds).

So here we go, but wait, what about our cat Grayson. He's part of our family. That's right, we decided to take Grayson. Grayson has spent his entire life inside our home. We never travel with him but taking him on a three hour car ride sounded like a good idea. Not only was it a bad idea but during the middle of the photo shoot, Grayson decides to go down into a small cave next to the water fall and he doesn't want to come out. We tried everything to get him out but he wouldn't budge. Finally, after about 20 minutes, both me and Mallory managed to get reach down and get a hold of him at the same time and we pulled him out together.

After driving 90 minutes to Berry College, with light dropping fast, we had about 15 minutes for photography. I hope family portraits are not this stressful for everyone else.

Mallory's exact words: "An evening with the Beasley's: Priceless"
